About Us
A Message from the Owner
“The lakehouse is my sanctuary. It is the most relaxing place to spend precious time with friends and family.”
– MARIA TERRELL
As a corporate professional and a lakehouse owner for several years, the hardest part of visiting the lake was all the prep work around coming and going- the shopping, the packing, the loading and unloading…between arriving, unloading, freshening up the house to enjoy the weekend, then starting dinner, preparing drinks and finally having everything sorted, we were exhausted before we even hit the road.
We needed help and out of our own need, the idea for Prep My Lakehouse was born. I quit my corporate job, put my Marketing degree to use, and started one client at a time. I built the company with a “Lakehouse Concierge” approach, meaning if you own a lakehouse in East Texas and have a need, our answer is “Yes.”
Our focus started with housekeeping and concierge services, and as the client list grew, so did the list of requests. Understanding the needs of busy professionals, large families, and crazy schedules when it comes to a lake house, we were able to grow our team and services list, adding handyman services to help support our clients better. Shortly after, we began offering entertaining support- knowing the fine details of entertaining and home prep for hosting, we wanted to ensure that guests are “wowed” and homeowners can rest assured that everything is handled.
We have continued growing our talented team and are so fortunate to have dedicated individuals, making the “lake life” dream a reality for our clients. We work as a unit to anticipate the needs of our clients and we make sure we get it all done… and done right. Now over seven years in business and a client list of over 500 homes on Cedar Creek Lake, Lake Athens, and Lake Palestine, we hope to continue growing and eventually expand to more Texas lakes.
